pUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS

Important construction update: Both pools at the Uintah Recreation Center will be closed August 16 through October 4 for liner replacement and facility improvements. Additional work will include replacing diving boards and starting blocks. The seven-week closure is scheduled during a period of lower pool use to minimize disruptions. The temporary closure will also help conserve culinary water during ongoing drought conditions.
Uintah Special Service District 1 notice regarding the removal of the horseshoe pits at Ashley Community Park. The pits were removed after safety concerns, including children removing rebar stakes and a report of a horse nearly falling onto one. The area was replaced with permanent concrete cornhole boards as a safer family activity. Horseshoe pits remain available at Remember the Maine Park and Naples City Park.
